2009 Award Winners GUESTHOUSE OF THE YEAR 2009

Ard na Breátha

Although in what has become a mainly residential area on the edge of a thriving town, Albert and Theresa Morrow’s welcoming guesthouse is tucked into a quiet corner of a busy working farm and is indeed, as they say on their brochure, ‘a place worth finding’.

It was one of the first in Ireland to receive the EU flower award for Eco tourism, and the excellent customer service, attention to detail and concern for all things environmental – combined with a very happy atmosphere – is a constant source of delight to guests, many of whom never feel the need to go out of an evening as the Morrows run a restaurant here in the evening (there’s even a proper bar with a welcoming open fire…).

Most definitely a place worth finding.
