Sweetbank Farm

Fourth generation farmers, Debbie and David Johnston, believe strongly in sustainability and produce their organic beef and lamb the natural, slow way on their limestone pastures, giving it natural texture and real local flavour.


They also grow fruit and, while not certified organic, their crops are produced on the same principles of stewardship.


They sell their beautiful hand-picked seasonal fruit - cherries, plums and pears - through outlets such as Avoca, and their lamb (which is available around mid-June) can be ordered in half or whole boxes, for collection from the farm.


Courses and workshops on various topics are held at the farm - hens, and botanical paintings are popular subjects.
