101 Talbot Restaurant
Here a decade ahead of the gold rush to service the growing needs of the International Financial Services Centre, good cooking, good value and promising menus are at the heart of Margaret Duffy and Pascal Bradley's pioneering northside restaurant.
While the nearby Abbey and Gate Theatres and the constantly changing art exhibitions in the restaurant are partly responsible for drawing an artistic/theatrical crowd, it is essentially their creative and healthy food that has earned the 101 such a fine reputation. Mediterranean/Middle Eastern influences explain the unique wholesomeness across the range of dishes, with six to eight choices on each course, always including strong vegetarian options.
Dietary requirements are always willingly met. Interesting food, friendly staff, good complimentary breads, helpful menu advice - and very reasonable prices - ensure the continuing success of this popular restaurant. Don't expect lavish decor - and try to ignore the drabness of Talbot Street
