Baan Thai

Delicious aromas and oriental music greet you as you climb the stairs to Lek and Eamon Lancaster's well-appointed first floor restaurant opposite the RDS.

Friendly staff, Thai furniture and woodcarvings create an authentic oriental feeling and intimate atmosphere - and, as many of the staff are Thai, it's almost like being in Thailand.

A wide-ranging menu includes various set meals that provide a useful introduction to the cuisine (or to speed up choices for groups) as well as an à la carte.

The essential fragrance and spiciness of Thai cuisine is very much in evidence throughout, and there's Thai beer as well as a fairly extensive wine list.
