Big bedrooms with country views are beautifully furnished with old family furniture and have well-finished shower rooms - and there’s a spacious sitting room for guests’ use too.

Barraderry would make a good base for exploring the lovely counties of Wicklow, Kildare, Carlow and Wexford and there’s plenty to do nearby, with six golf courses within a half hour drive, several hunts and equestrian centres within easy reach and also Punchestown, Curragh and Naas racecourses - and, of course, walking in the lovely Wicklow Mountains.

Rooms 4 (all en-suite, shower only & no smoking). B&B €40 pps; ss €5; children welcome (cot available); pets permitted in certain areas by arrangement. Garden; walking. Closed 15 Dec-15 Jan. MasterCard, Visa. abbreviations
