Belvedere House in Carlingford offers attractive accommodation above The Bay Tree Restaurant (see entry), which is in common ownership - and where breakfast is served.
While homely and comfortable rather than luxurious, the rooms have recently been refurbished in a pleasant country style and are furnished with old pine.
The theme for each room was inspired by local legend - the Tain Bo Culaigne (The Cattle Raid of Cooley) - but they also have all the necessary modern facilities, including flat screen TV, tea/coffee making, hair dryers – and power showers and heated towel rails in the smart bathrooms.
Guests have use of the leisure facilities in a nearby hotel.
