Howth Pier’s original fishmonger is now a stylish fish shop, with deli and oyster bar attached to Ivan’s restaurant

Beshoffs the Market

The first fish shop on Howth pier was founded in 1914 by Ivan Beshoff, a survivor of the Russian Imperial Navy battleship Potemkin mutiny; various Beshoff's enterprises are still run by his descendants and the name is synonymous with seafood in Ireland.

Here, Alan Beshoff offers a wide range of whitefish and shellfish with live crab, lobster and crayfish available from tanks in-store; there is also a deli, oyster bar and restaurant.
