Brownes Hotel
NOTE -
Richard Corrigan is very proud to announce his acquisiton of Brownes. Located so conveniently on St Stephens Green, Brownes is undergoing a discreet facelift, keeping its original charm and character, but with a totally revamped restaurant called Bentley’s Oyster Bar & Grill. The restaurant will still be trading as Brownes until July when it will be officially relaunched as Bentley’s Oyster bar & Grill .
Stylish conversion of this fine period house makes an impressive and exceptionally well-located small hotel. Up a short flight of granite steps, through reception, there is a small drawing room furnished with antiques and fresh flowers - the house has the atmosphere of a private home about it. The present owners, the Stein Group, have invested heavily in refurbishment of the premises, including the spacious accommodation.
Brownes Restaurant
This is one of Dublin's loveliest dining rooms yet, despite good food and a great location, it seems to be something of a well-kept secret and when other well-known restaurants nearby are impossible to get into, there may well be spare tables here.
The menu and food are appealing and well presented, although they do perhaps lack the 'wow' factor. But the ambience is lovely and the cooking sound, backed up by professional staff.
