Bunratty Shannon Shamrock Hotel

Conveniently located just ten minutes from both Shannon International Airport and Limerick city, the Bunratty Shannon Shamrock Hotel is in wooded grounds beside Bunratty Castle and Folk Park and offers good facilities for business and leisure guests.

The style of the building is typical of many hotels established in the 1960s and is still a disadvantage, making the hotel seem dated in some areas, although the Dunne Hotel Group have been energetic in their efforts to upgrade facilities. Public areas are quite impressive, as are some of the more recent additions, including the gallery lounge and PJ's restaurant as well as a fine fitness centre with 20 metre swimming pool and an excellent conference & banqueting centre with state-of-the-art facilities.

Thirty newer bedrooms were added in recent years but, although the older ones have been refurbished, they still seem dated; however, they are well-equipped, with the usual facilities. Off season breaks offer good value.

There are 5 Championship Golf Clubs in the area, incuding Shannon, Dromoland Castle, Lahinch (with preferred green fees for hotel guests) and Limerick County Club.
