Courtney's Pub

The thatched roof, old-fashioned windows and hanging baskets of Courtney's Bar attract customers in and inside is every bit as pleasant.

Comfortable seating, an optional dining area and friendly staff make eating here a pleasure. Bar food includes old favourites like steak sandwich and golfer's grill as well as a selection of salads including a very good Cajun Chicken Caesar. It's all reasonably priced and available from 12.30pm to 9pm.

Outdoors at the back, there is a pretty terrace on two levels, within sound if not sight of the Griffeen river.

Upstairs is a popular restaurant, Dukes (as in John Wayne), with dishes such as beef, monkfish and duck.
