This is a pub of great character and is much-loved by locals and visitors alike. It's been in business for over 40 years and it's comfortable and cosy, with wood panelling and traditional Irish seating in 'snugs' - and the large extension built a few years ago has now 'blended in'.

Food is served at lunchtime only - sandwiches or a full hot bar lunch, including starters such as baked Dalkey crab, brie fritters with apple coulis and main courses like roast stuffed pork steak, T-bone steak with pepper sauce and smoked cod, followed by traditional desserts like raspberry & apple crumble and vanilla cheesecake.

The fresh fish (from the harbour nearby) is excellent, the vegetables predictable but tasty and good value.

No reservations - get there early to avoid a long wait.

Carpark nearby. Bar food 12.30-3pm Mon-Sun. Closed 25 Dec, Good Fri & & New Year. Amex, Diners, MasterCard, Visa, Laser.
