Nuala Dawson's first floor daytime restaurant is a popular place for discerning locals in the know.
It's a bit old-fashioned but bright and airy, and there's such a strong emphasis on freshness and flavour that the choice becomes limited in the afternoon, as lunch is the main business and only food freshly cooked each day is served.
The menu changes daily and offers lovely hot lunches, a huge selection of wonderful salads, quiches, home-made soups, breads (including breads suitable for special diets, eg gluten free), cold meats and salmon cooked on the premises and - best of all - the most beautiful home-made confectionery.
Staff are friendly and efficient and Nuala, who is from Northern Ireland, keeps a close eye on everything.
Food to go is also offered perfect at Christmas, when delicious Christmas puddings and mince pies are available.
