The Connollys produce an unusual range, with juices being the core product. Made with natural ingredients and using Irish grown fruit and elderflower from their own elderflower orchard - which is Ireland’s only commercial elderflower production, with over 1,000 trees - the apple-based juices come as pure apple plain and simple and also in a variety of appealing combinations (with raspberry, blackcurrant, pear, or carrot), while the ‘wild’ elderflower ones come with natural flavourings of pressed raspberry, pressed apple and pressed pear - and they also make some lovely cloudy lemonades (plain and ‘pink’, which is flavoured with raspberry). It would be nice to see some concentrates added to the range, notably plain elderflower which is very versatile

The drinks are a nice combination of tradition and innovation and a welcome alternative to the many imported products available. Their success has led to the range being extended and you’ll also see their label on nostalgic jars of sweets - old fashioned boiled sweets, bon bons - and a small range of jams and marmalade.

This enterprising company also produces hand cooked crisps, in Farmhouse Cheese & Red Onion and Rock Salt & Malt Vinegar flavours.

Their products are well distributed - find them in speciality food stores, good supermarkets and on menus.
