Although now only open three days a week, Ann & Emily Gray’s smart, black-painted, traditionally-fronted premises in Mullingar is bright and welcoming – and is a good place for any time of day, including breakfast (with freshly squeezed juice).
They’re great bakers, and the buzz of an open kitchen and freshly cooked food on display draws people in.
You’ll find good soups, salads, savoury tart of the day, and “tailor-made” sandwiches, and also hot main courses like oven-baked salmon with sweet chilli sauce, champ & salad, and steak sandwich on ciabatta, with spicy salsa & mixed salad.
Outside catering, picnics and freshly made dishes for home freezing are also offered.
