Glenview Hotel

Famous for its views over the luxuriantly green and leafy Glen O'The Downs, this well-located hotel has all the advantages of a beautiful rural location, yet is close to Dublin and offers a wide range of facilities, including an excellent Health and Leisure Club and a state-of-the-art conference centre.

All bedrooms are attractively furnished in warm colours and an undemanding modern style. Public areas include a comfortably furnished conservatory bar, which is well situated for a casual meal (Conservatory Bistro menu, international cooking), and Woodlands Restaurant offers quite ambitious, formal cooking.

All this, together with special breaks offering good value, make the hotel a valuable asset to the area.

Conference/banqueting (250/180). Secretarial services, video conferencing. Leisure centre (indoor swimming pool); beauty salon. Snooker room (adults only). Garden, woodland walks. Children welcome (under 2s free in parents' room, cots available without charge, play room). No pets.

Rooms 70 (all en-suite, 1 suite, 12 executive rooms). Lift. B&B from about €60 pps, ss about €40. Restaurant seats 90; not suitable for children after 7.30pm; D daily, L Sun only; air conditioning; pianist some evenings. Open all year. Amex, Diners, MasterCard, Visa, Laser abbreviations
