Set in an impressive 80 acres of gardens and woodland just outside Naas, this hotel is approached along an attractive driveway, with striking entrance and lobby areas, and a fine inner courtyard planted attractively with Virginia creeper.
A rather grand staircase leads to a large traditionally furnished lounge area on the first floor, with views of the grounds and courtyard and well-grouped seating areas; it's a pleasant place for afternoon tea and informal socialising - there is a pianist at certain times - and resident guests now have the quieter option of a new residents' lounge.
Conference and business events are well catered for, with conference and meeting rooms of various sizes available, and it is a deservedly popular venue for weddings.
Bedrooms, which have everything required for business guests, include a number of suites and some with four-poster beds; all rooms have multi-line phones, data ports, voicemail, fax (on request), and safe as well as the more usual amenities.
Formal dining is offered at the beautifully appointed main restaurant, Turners (where a harpist plays at weekends), and informal food is available in other areas.
