Situated about 15 minutes drive north of Galway city in the heart of hunting and fishing country, Lisdonagh House enjoys beautiful views overlooking Lake Hackett.
Although the exterior maintenance and garden are sometimes less than pristine, it is a lovely property, with large well-proportioned reception rooms, and very comfortable bedrooms decorated in period style, with impressive marbled bathrooms to match.
A five-course dinner menu is served in a handsome dining room, and offers fish and meat, although a vegetarian main course would be available on request; a pleasant breakfast is also served in the dining room.
*Two villas in the courtyard are available, either for self-catering or fully serviced. The main house is often rented exclusively for private groups.
