Olesya's Wine Bar

Oleysa’s is a bright and modern wine bar that’s a cosy spot for a casual meal or drinks. Pleasantly styled with bare wood tables, wall-mounted wine racks, exposed brick and tangled lampshades that throw pretty patterns on the walls, it’s a relaxed and intimate space.

The smart striped awnings, stools and café tables out front and large windows that slide back to open up the room in fine weather lend a distinctly European vibe that’s underpinned by the wine list. With over 400 wines, and 100 by the glass – well divided into sections, and with good tasting notes - there’s something to suit every budget and palate, which explains the popularity of this buzzy spot.

This Dublin restaurants menus are geared towards casual dining and while you can order a three-course-meal, tapas or a single course may suit the mood better.

A starter of solyanka, a traditional Russian soup made with smoked meat, sausages and olives is a real star, and is a meal in itself. Other Russian offerings include blinis, gravadlax and herring St Petersburg although there are plenty of more familiar choices like pasta and steak.

Cooking at Oleysa’s can be uneven, and many dishes may seem overpriced. Choose wisely, however, and you’ll enjoy the lively atmosphere and impressive vinous offerings.
