Easy to recognise with its bright red and black paintwork and the bikes outside, this cheerful traditional pub in the centre of Moate has a turf range in the back bar and it's a friendly place to drop in for a drink and some low-down on the area.

Simple, wholesome food is also available at certain times (a phone call to check is advised) and a new seating area has been set up outside. Traditional Irish music is a speciality.
