The Purty Kitchen

In the heart of Temple Bar, this new sister establishment of the popular Purty Kitchen in Monkstown offers some comfort and respite in a very busy part of the city. It's in a street corner pub with an authentic stone period frontage and, inside, a large high-ceilinged u-shaped room with an impressive bar in the centre, and large front windows which create a pleasing sense of space and lots of natural light.

A dark wooden floor and polished darkwood tables and chairs lend character to the relaxed, uncluttered space, and traditional booths offer a little privacy. Extremely friendly staff are quick to make customers feel welcome, swiftly taking drinks orders and offering an extensive bar menu which features a good selection of appetisers, salads, open sandwiches (served on the Purty Kitchen's excellent homemade seed bread), steaks, homemade burgers and chicken; there's a strong emphasis on fish and seafood, including specialities of Purty Seafood Chowder and the Purty Seafood Platter.

In addition to a well stocked bar there is also a well-balanced wine list, with some offered by the glass. With its simple tasty food, served in comfortable surroundings and at reasonable prices - plus a packed schedule of late night entertainment during the weekends - this is a very welcome newcomer to Temple Bar.

Mon-Wed: midday - 12:30am, Fri-Sun: 12 - 4am. Food served daily from midday until 10.30 pm, except Sundays when food finishes at 9.30pm. All major credit cards accepted.
