Although recently redesigned and rebranded, the ethos of this pleasant restaurant in the impressive garden centre at Frank and Rachel Doyle's Arboretum is unchanged and, as before, it offers an attractive selection of wholesome, freshly-prepared food.
Tables are simply set up, but there is a sense of care about the place with fresh flowers everywhere - and, despite being mainly self-service, the friendly and helpful staff are happy to give assistance when needed.
Appetising salads and quick-serve dishes are on display at the service counter - everything is fresh and home-made with good ingredients, and there’s a nice flair in the desserts.
It's not really a wine place, but there's wine by the glass from the fridge, and a few quarter bottles, also fruit drinks (including apple juice) and minerals.
A good place to break a journey, as there's a nice ambience, plenty of space and helpful staff - and a browse around is interesting and relaxing.
