Sheedys Country House Hotel & Restaurant

****Lisdoonvarna - a spa town, famous for its match-making festival in August - is near Doolin (traditional music, ferries to the Aran Islands), and conveniently located for sight-seeing all of County Clare. John and Martina Sheedy operate one of the west of Ireland's best-loved small hotels, offering luxurious yet well-priced accommodation and some of the best food in the area. Friendly hands-on management, and elegant, spacious and well-designed rooms (generous beds, and bathrooms with both full bath and power shower) add up to a high level of comfort.
