Karen Courtney and Myles Duffy's traditional thatched cottage between Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher is well-signed and, judging by the way they have been packing 'em in on the days the Guide came to call, they're finding that cosy surroundings and Myles's good home cooking are just what families want when they're out and about in the area.

A blackboard proclaims the specials of the day in addition to the main menu, and you can expect sound renditions of old favourites like fish pie, home-made fresh fish & chips, beef & Guinness stew, also very good home baking.

As well as an outdoor playground, there are toys for kids in the two little rooms that make up the restaurant -  you don't have to have children with you to enjoy a stop here, but it's a very child-friendly environment

A useful place to know about.
