Sweeney's Public House & Wine Bar

Seymour Sweeney's bar is in an attractive stone building is on the sea side of the road as you drive into Portballintrae, and is very handy to both the Royal Portrush Golf Club and the Giant's Causeway. It's a pleasant place, with a welcoming open fire in the bar and a choice of places to drink or have a bite to eat. Unpretentious food is in the modern international café/bar style; seafood platter and 'Wellington Bomber' are specialities. Although likely to suit all age groups during the day, it can get very busy during the evening, especially on live music nights (folk & country; there is a late licence to 1 am on Friday and Saturday). A useful place to break a day exploring the area, although a phone call is advised.
