Virginia's Guesthouse
Mulcahy’s restaurant and Virginia’s guesthouse share an entrance, but are run quite separately. Neil and Noreen Harrington are superb hosts and guest comfort comes first with them, so each winter sees regular refurbishment – new mattresses and bedding, paintwork, whatever is necessary.
Guestrooms have big comfortable beds, and everything you could need including phone, television, safe and tea/coffee trays - and en-suite power showers.
And their breakfasts are a point of honour, offering amongst many delights a fresh orange juice cocktail with ginger, melon with feta cheese, a compôte of organic rhubarb with blueberries, natural yogurt, organic porridge (with or without whiskey cream), and banana pancakes along with all the usual egg dishes (free range eggs) and fries, simply delicious.
Rooms 8 (all shower only & no smoking, 1 family, 1 single); not suitable for children under 12 yrs; B&B €45-50 pps, single €60-85. Closed 24-26 Dec. MasterCard, Visa, Laser.
Directions:
Second building on right-hand side as you go down Henry Street in the town centre
