Whites of Wexford

Wexford’s most famous hotel, Whites underwent total reconstruction in recent years and you certainly won’t miss it as it is a very large building, with obvious signage which can be seen from all around Wexford town.

Very different from the higgledy-piggledy building we had all grown fond of, this new development does not have quite the character expected of an hotel that goes back to 1795, but it is comfortable, and the unbroken tradition of hospitality lives on.

The consolation is that what is now a very large hotel has excellent facilities in all areas, including on-site leisure activities and pampering treatments; White’s had the first Cryotherapy Clinic in Ireland, and an impressive swimming pool and Spa.

Smart contemporary guest rooms and suites have all the bells and whistles: in addition to the usual facilities, all rooms have plasma screen television, in house movie & satellite channels, broadband, in room safe and minibar. There’s also a choice of bars and restaurants, and extensive conference facilities.

Conference/banqueting (1,000/800); broadband wi/fi; secretarial services. Rooms 157 (all en-suite); B&B €95 pps; ss €25. Children welcome (under 4s free in parents' room, cots available free of charge, baby sitting arranged).Lift, 24hr room service. Parking. Leisure Centre ('pool, fitness room, sauna, steam room); Spa; beauty salon; walking; no pets. Closed 24-26 Dec. Amex, Diners, MasterCard, Visa, Laser
