Like in many homes in Ireland, Pancake Tuesday was viewed in a most competitive way by our 3 boys who had never ending appetites.
The boys would compete with respect to who could all eat the most pancakes. Then they would go out to brag to their friends about their eating prowess and this would continue into the next day with school yard tales about devouring monstrous piles of pancakes. It was great fun altogether and as always they would be running around outside burning it all off.
