15th Annual Mushroom Hunt at Longueville House

Don your boots and wellies and hike around the estate in search of edible mushrooms varieties home grown here on our Estate. With the guidance of our very own mushroom expert, you can discover the pleasure of this exciting sport here at Longueville House.

 

Afterwards Chef/Proprietor William O’Callaghan along with his team will prepare and cook for you a banquet of autumn mushrooms from the day’s harvest. A fun day out for all & ideal for beginners.

Please note that mushroom hunts take place in all sorts of weather so are rarely cancelled due to inclement weather.

 

 

Longueville House Harvest Lunch & Cider Making Tour

To coincide with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain which once marked the celebration of the New Year; Longueville House to mark this special occasion will host a Harvest Lunch taking place on Sunday 30th October, 2016. With the guidance of Dan Duggan - Longuevilles’ chief brandy distiller and cider brewer, you will discover the pleasure of this unique process here at Longueville House where it all happens.

 

Afterwards Chef/Proprietor William O’Callaghan along with his team will prepare a special luncheon washed down with Longueville House Cider as well as what’s in season and best available from our Walled Garden and Estate.

Harvest Lunch & Cider Making Tour (€59 per person) which includes Tea or Coffee with Home made Cookies on arrival, followed by a Guided Tour of the Gardens & Distillery where Longueville House Cider & Longueville House Apple Brandy are produced. Followed by a Tasting/Buffet Lunch.
