Claregalway Festival of Drama
Thursday 27th March - Friday 4th April
The Claregalway Drama Festival is a 'coming together' of some of the best drama groups in the 32 counties. They perform a selection of old Irish, modern international plays from writers past, i.e. Oscar Wilde, Tennessee Williams, and modern such as Brian Frial, Ray Cooney, legendary John B Keane and Hugh Leonard. And, new writers such as Seamus O'Rourke, Liam Howard, John Barrett.
Our festival nominates to the All-Ireland finals in Athlone, and also to the confined section finals. Our vision for the future is to increase audience numbers, being mindful of ouir new multi-cultural, international population, and our responsibility to new traditional playwrights.
The Claregalway Drama Festival will take place in the Claregalway Leisure Centre.
