Ernest Shackleton Autumn School

The Athy Heritage Centre has established the Ernest Shackelton Autumn School to celebrate the life and work of the great Antarctic explorer in the area of his birth.

Athy Heritage Centre holds the only permanent exhibition on Sir Ernest Shackelton in Ireland, which includes artefacts relating to his expeditions and a scale model of the ship Endurance.

A variety of artistic, educational and musical events will take place over the duration of the Autumn School.
