Inch Polo Festival

Annual Horse Polo Competition played on the beach at Inch, Co. Kerry. This is the sixth year and matches are played on the firm sands of Inch Strand, in County Kerry on the South West Coast of Ireland. Tournaments take place along the 3 miles of beach separated into up to six full length fields. Bounded on one side by the sea and on the other by the dramatic mountains of the Dingle Penisular, the sands provide a perfect playing surface: firm and light playing where the ball rolls fast and the ponies grip to the surface like glue. This is one of the world's only beach tournaments played with a grass ball on full length fields.
