Leixlip Festival

This year’s festival will host the largest street carnival ever. Saturday and Sunday will be dedicated to the street carnival with the Main Street being closed to traffic between the hours of midday and 11pm inclusive. On Monday the return of the extremely popular Tug O War competition will take place with the Main Street being closed from 12 midday until 7pm.

Entertainment such as Bui Bolg, from Wexford; Cork Circus; Tumble Circus and Punch and Judy shows will be entertaining all day long. There will also be many street performers, including puppeteers; acrobats; fire-eaters and magicians which are guaranteed to appeal to all ages. This year’s musical will appeal to music fans of any genre and is guaranteed to entertain with Elvis The Way It Was; Full Moon; The Highway Men and Cassidy Says. The Irish Farmers Market will be welcomed for the first time to the Festival. The markets themselves will be extremely large with a huge variety of goods. There will also be a number of stalls with an array of Arts and Crafts. The spectacular fireworks display will take place on Sunday night.
