The oldest urban civic building in Ireland

Reginalds Tower

Reginald's Tower is the oldest urban civic building in Ireland, and the oldest monument to retain its Viking name. To this day, it remains Waterford's most recognisable landmark. Reginalds Tower is a circular tower that is part of the town's defences and was built at the beginning of the 13th century. It was also used as a mint, prison and military store. It has been restored and houses an exhibition.

Opening Time:

Open Daily - mid September-May 10am-5pm; June - mid September 10am-6pm

Admission Charge:

Adults €3; Child/Student €1; OAP/Group €2; Family €8.
