BURTONPORT (Ailt an Chorrain) is a small fishing port and sea angling centre in The Rosses, renowned for its catches of salmon, lobster and crab in the summer months. Just off the town, the island of Arranmore has now got an hotel, Arranmore House Hotel, which is open all year; the island is accessible by frequent car ferries.
