The Cape Clear International Storytelling Festival - Co Cork

Friday 2nd - Sunday 4th September 2011

Now a well established festival and main calendar event, the Cape Clear International Storytelling Festival has gained remarkable success and an enviable popularity throughout the world of storytelling for its cultural diversity and quality of its presentation of storytelling as a living and vibrant art form. Building on the natural beauty of the island, it celebrates the richness of local folklore while drawing attention to the uniqueness of Cape's flora and fauna.

Featuring performances, workshops and tales in island homes and hostels, story-swaps under the sky and late into the night, the festival has grown steadily since it began in 1994.

Every year the festival is scheduled on the first weekend of September giving an end of season economic boost to the island and gaining a much noted reputation among both international performers and its loyal audience.
