Eigse Carlow Arts Festival - Carlow

Friday 8th to Sunday 17th June 2012

Eigse Carlow Arts Festival is one of Ireland’s largest arts festivals and the first major summer festival of the year. A celebration of visual art, performance, dance, music, with literature workshops, street spectacles, craft and film. Eigse brings renowned international and national artists and performers to the South East for a series of exhibitions, performances, recitals, workshops and talks for young and old, visitor and local alike.

Exhibitions and talks are free of charge as are a number of the lunchtime music recitals and dance performances. The street entertainment adds to the feeling of excitement which is everywhere in this Barrow side community.

Over the 10 days of the festival Carlow will celebrate the work of a host of local, national and international artists creating a hub of cultural activity in the South East. Carlow will come alive and vibrate with the presence of performers and artists from all over the globe, including the US, India, Sweden, South Korea, UK and Ireland.
