IRISH BREAKFAST AWARDS 2008 GUESTHOUSE BREAKFAST OF THE YEAR 2008

Number 31

Irish Breakfast Awards - Winners 08Rudd'sOur winning guesthouse breakfast is to be found in an hospitable ‘oasis of tranquillity and greenery’ just off St Stephen’s Green, which has recently reopened after major refurbishment and makes a relaxing and interesting city centre base.

With attractive gardens, original interiors in both the main Georgian house and a beautifully converted coach house, and spacious accommodation (exceptionally comfortable beds!), this is a great place to stay. It’s obvious from the outset that warm and friendly hospitality is central to this delightful guesthouse - tea and cookies are served as your car is parked in their secure car park…

And breakfasts, served at communal tables inside, and in the conservatory, are a treat to treasure – juices, fresh fruit and cereals on display, freshly baked breads and delicious preserves, and lovely hot dishes like kippers, Eggs Benedict or scrambled egg with smoked salmon all cooked to order... it has a homely feel too, as the kitchen is beside the breakfast room and there is no door, so you can watch as your breakfast is being prepared.

A real home from home.
