Alexander Hotel
Very well situated at the lower end of Merrion Square, within a stone's throw of Dáil Éireann (Government Buildings), the National Art Gallery and History Museum as well as the city's premier shopping area, this large modern hotel is remarkable for classic design that blends into the surrounding Georgian area.
In contrast to its subdued public face, the interior is strikingly contemporary and colourful, both in public areas and bedrooms, all of which have been refurbished recently to a very high standard, in restful soft white, cream and brown colour combinations, and have good in-room amenities.
Housekeeping is immaculate throughout the hotel. Perhaps its most positive attribute, however, is the exceptionally friendly and helpful attitude of the hotel's staff who, under the supervision of General Manager Declan Fitzgerald, immediately make guests feel at home and take a genuine interest in their comfort during their stay.
Meals are offered at the hotel's Caravaggio's Restaurant and a bar menu at Winners contemporary cocktail bar.
