Near the coast of west Clare, between Kilkee and Lahinch, this Victorian country house has been run by Rita Meade as a restaurant with accommodation since 1994 and, more recently, as a cookery school.
The restaurant - which has varied opening hours for residents and non-residents throughout the season - is available for small private functions, has an informal country style with pine furniture and a conservatory at the back of the house, overlooking the garden.
Wide-ranging menus offer local seafood and exceptional meats from a local butcher, whilst a particular talent with poultry provides a speciality of slow roast spiced duckling with Guinness honey & orange sauce & red onion marmalade.
