Berry Lodge Restaurant & Cookery School

Near the coast of west Clare, between Kilkee and Lahinch, this Victorian country house has been run by Rita Meade as a B&B since 1994 and, more recently, as a cookery school.

The restaurant, which is open for dinner for residents only every night in high season and is available for small private functions, has an informal country style with pine furniture and a conservatory at the back of the house, overlooking the garden.

Wide-ranging menus offer local seafood and exceptional meats from a local butcher, whilst a particular talent with poultry provides a speciality of slow roast spiced duckling with Guinness honey & orange sauce & red onion marmalade.
