Clevery Mill

This charmingly converted old mill, complete with millwheel, is located in the countryside about 20 minutes’ drive from Sligo. From the moment you push open the door of the old stone building, you get a sense of warmth and relaxation.

Overnight guests will find six comfortable bedrooms with plenty of character - some rooms have four-poster beds and all are attractively furnished in a country style, with modern en-suite shower rooms.

Both residents and people in for a meal will enjoy the old-world country ambience in the bar area or, perhaps, in the smaller snug room adjacent; log fires are an attractive feature and there’s a pleasant feeling to the whole building.

The main dining room overlooks the old waterwheel and is classically appointed with white linen and full of character; the menu tempts with a wide selection of dishes and lists sources, which are mostly local and organic.

Seats 54 (outdoors, 8); D Thu-Sat 6.30-9.30, L Sun only 12.30-4pm; set Sun L €28; set D about €40. Children welcome (high chair, childrens menu, baby changing facilities). Rooms 6; B&B from €49 pps; midweek specials available on request. Closed D Sun, Mon-Wed; house closed Christmas & New Year. MasterCard, Visa, Laser
