Deanes Deli

Just around the corner from Deanes Restaurant, this smashing New York style all day deli-dining experience is a smart-casual venue serving great bistro food and given an extra twist by the sumptuous retail deli store adjacent to the restaurant.

Walter’s smoked salmon with cucumber, lemon crème fraich, capers & cress, Salt & chilli squid with Asian salad and Portavogie fish’n’chips with tartare sauce & mushy peas are all typical dishes, and although the evening menu gears up a bit, it’s still very informal.

And there are loads of tempting things to take home from the deli, of course, including Deanes own label range. Well chosen drinks list to match, including beer and cocktails, as well as accessible wines.

Seats 80 (outdoors, 10). Open all day Mon-Sat, 11.30-9pm (to 10pm Wed-Sat); L 11.30-3, D 5-10; á la carte. SC 10%; reservations advised; children welcome (high chair, baby changing facilities); toilets wheelchair accessible; air conditioning. Live music weekend evenings. Closed Sun; 25 Dec; 12-13 Jul. Amex, MasterCard, Visa, Switch.
