The Dome Restaurant

At the top of the shopping centre, this bright, airy daytime restaurant has a lot going for it before you take a bite: beautiful views over St Stephen's Green, a friendly atmosphere, fresh flowers - and sometimes even live background music.

There's a self-service section and salad bar plus a blackboard describing dishes. Everything on display is very appetising and friendly chefs are at hand behind the counter to assist your choices. The food style is basically French and Mediterranean, also a full breakfast which is served from 8 am, and afternoon meals every day.

Main courses like steak Wellington, braised lamb shank and cod au gratin should tempt the most determined sandwich muncher - and there are lovely desserts supplied by the Mardi Cake Shop, next door.

Children are made very welcome too, with high chairs, changing facilities and bottle warming available. Great value for money too.
