Seafood straight from Kilkeel harbour, and most other produce also sourced with a ten mile radius, is the foundation for Ciaran Gallagher’s success at his popular restaurant in Warrenpoint, which occupies the whole of the first floor over a pleasantly traditional pub, The Duke.
There’s a comfortable mixture of traditional and modern styles which, together with the busy atmosphere and friendly service, all add up to a relaxed ambience.
Like the surroundings, menus are balanced and well-tailored to the clientèle; crowd pleasers like surf’n’turf and chicken kiev take their regular places alongside some more ambitious dishes for discerning diners, notably local seafood.
