Earls Court House
Although Roy and Emer Moynihan’s purpose-built guesthouse quite near the town centre is now classified as an hotel, its essential qualities of hospitality, professionalism, comfort and character remain unchanged.
A welcoming open fire burns in the large beautifully furnished foyer which, together with an adjoining guest sitting room, has plenty of comfortable seating for guests - an ideal rendez-vous, or simply a place to relax - and, as elsewhere in the house, antiques, books, paintings and family photographs are a point of interest and emphasise the personality of this spacious home from home.
Emer’s personal attention to the details that make for real comfort - and the ever-growing collection of antiques that guarantees individuality for each room - are the hallmarks of the exceptionally comfortable accommodation offered, which includes a number of rooms with canopy beds.
All the bedrooms are well-planned and generously-sized, with double and single beds, well finished bathrooms, phone and satellite TV; tea/coffee-making facilities are available on request.
Guests are directed to restaurants in the town for evening meals, but superb breakfasts are served in a newly-refurbished antique-furnished dining room, where guests are looked after with charm and efficiency.
