Fontana Restaurant

A first floor restaurant over a classy kitchen shop in Holywood, Fontana is fresh and bright - perfectly in tune with the lovely zesty cooking that proprietor-chef Colleen Bennett offers.

Starters and main courses tend to overlap on her interesting and loosely structured menus, with small and large portions of some dishes offered; a popular dish like Caesar salad with char-grilled chicken might come in two sizes, for example, and appear on both the lunch and dinner menus.

Imaginative use of fresh produce is a striking characteristic of the food at Fontana: vegetables and salads are used with great panache and seafood is usually strongly represented - consistently accomplished cooking, stylishly simple presentation and clear flavours make an appealing combination.
