Glenogra House

Conveniently located for the RDS and within 3 minutes walk of the Sandymount DART station, this well known guesthouse is run by the owners, Peter and Veronica Donohoe, who are doing an excellent job.

The public areas have all been refurbished and, from the minute you arrive there is a great sense of welcome and hospitality - lovely fresh flowers in the large hall, someone to carry your bags to your room and explain the facilities, the security of knowing there is safe parking.

Although regularly refurbished, the bedrooms are not furnished in the latest style - expect to find darkwood furniture, fringed lampshades and little dressing table mirrors - but they are comfortable and clean, and offer some welcome extras, including smart white bathrobes and portable radios.

Moreover, you'll get a really good breakfast, with plenty of choice (including scrambled egg with smoked salmon) leaf tea, and exceptionally delicious home-made muesli.

Rooms 13 (2 shower only, 1 family room, all no-smoking). B&B €59.50 pps, ss €20. Children welcome (under 10s free in parents' room, cots available free of charge). Free broadband wi/fi, no pets. Closed 22 Dec - 10 Jan. Amex, Diners, MasterCard, Visa, Laser. abbreviations
