Good World Chinese Restaurant

One of a cluster of interesting ethnic restaurants around Wicklow Street and South Great George's Street, this was one of the first and is popular with the local Chinese community, who appreciate the high standard of their Dim Sums - a selection of which can be had after 6pm at about €5 per item.

A more interesting and authentic Chinese menu is available as well as the standard one, offering unusual dishes such as 'Fish Slices Congee' - a sort of rice porridge not often seen even in London - other variations are beef, chicken, salted eggs and pickle.

Another satisfying concoction consists of assorted meats (chicken, pork etc and also seafood including squid, prawns and scallops) with tofu, mushrooms and Chinese leaf - delicious and a real bargain at about €14.

The restaurant prides itself on an especially full range of Chinese dishes, suitable for both Chinese and European customers, and service is both friendly and efficient.

Seats 95. Open 12.30pm-midnight daily. Closed 25-26 Dec. Amex, Diners, MasterCard, Visa, Laser.
