Harbour View Teppanyaki
At this scenic Lagan side location beside the Waterfront Hall, the ever popular Japanese dining experience, Teppanyaki, is alive and well. Very friendly professional staff greet customers arriving at the spacious lounge and reception area overlooking the river and, after choosing from the extensive Japanese menu, one is led to the Teppan and seated comfortably to watch the chef’s deft displays, as he cuts, stirs and flambés various seafood and meat dishes on the Teppan.
This Belfast restaurants menu offers an excellent selection of superbly fresh seafood, sushi and sashimi, with some meat dishes such as duck, beef and chicken also available, all served with wonderfully fluffy fried rice and Japanese noodles.
After such an impressively cooked meal, the desserts are somewhat less appealing (although the idea of flambé ice cream might be entertaining), so you could find yourself returning to the lounge to relax, enjoy the view and finish drinks.
Teppanyaki is an entertaining night out and is especially suited to larger parties, but be warned: it does come at a premium.
Toilets wheelchair accessible; open for food all day; L 12-2.30; a la carte from 2.30 to 11pm; house wine £16. Closed Christmas Day only. Amex, MasterCard, Visa, Switch.
