Hollywell Country House

CLOSED FOR REFURBISHMENT

After many years as hoteliers in the town (and a family tradition of inn-keeping that goes back 200 years), Rosaleen and the late Tom Maher established a great reputation for the comfort and warm hospitality offered at this delightful period house.

Just across the bridge from the town, it's on a rise with its own river frontage and beautiful views over the Shannon. A pathway through lovely gardens leads down to the river and there is fishing (coarse) on site.

It has now been taken over by one of their sons, Ronan, and his wife Grainne, who are currently refurbishing this lovely property.

: Rooms 4 (2 junior suites, 2 shower only). B&B €50 pps, ss €15. Not suitable for children under 12; free broadband wi/fi. Equestrian, golf & hunting nearby. Closed Dec & Jan (open for New Years). MasterCard, Visa, Laser.

Directions:

From Dublin, cross bridge on N4, keep left at Gings pub. Hollywell entrance is on left up the hill.
